Spaceteam ESL is an adaptation of the award-winning hit game Spaceteam, created by Henry Smith of Sleeping Beast Games.

David Waddington and Walcir Cardoso of Concordia University’s Department of Education worked with Henry to adapt the game for English language learners. Research Assistants on the project include Ross Sundberg, Jennica Grimshaw, Renee Jackson, and Kris Alexander.

The primary sponsor of Spaceteam ESL is Concordia University’s Centre for the Study of Learning and Performance (CSLP), using funds from the Fonds de Recherche du Québec–Société et Culture. Other sponsors include Concordia’s Technoculture, Art, and Games Center and the Office of the Vice-Provost, Research and Graduate Studies.
